Craig Jones Obituary – A teacher from East Chicago Lighthouse Charter School was found deceased on Friday morning inside the school’s stairwell, as stated in a Facebook post by the East Chicago police.
According to the post, the teacher was identified as Craig Jones, a 47-year-old resident of Gary. Jones had contacted his family the previous day, informing them that he would be working late at the school. At around 10:30 p.m., he called his family to request a ride home. Although a family member promptly arrived to pick him up, Jones never emerged from the school. Subsequently, the family member did not receive any further communication from him and decided to leave the premises.
The maintenance staff discovered Jones’ body in the stairwell the following morning, as mentioned in the post. While the Lake County Prosecutor’s Homicide Task Force was summoned to investigate the incident, the police stated in the post that they have no evidence suggesting foul play.
The investigation is currently ongoing, and the police have declared that no additional details will be disclosed at this time.
