Elgin Guidry, Lyric Bewley – On Wednesday night in Springdale, two individuals tragically lost their lives due to gun violence. Upon arriving at the scene on S Thompson Street, officers discovered the lifeless body of Elgin Guidry, aged 20.
It was determined that Guidry had fired shots at individuals inside a car in the parking lot before turning the gun on himself. Additionally, Lyric Bewley, 19, and another 19-year-old woman sustained life-threatening injuries and were rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately, Bewley succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.
An 18-year-old male also suffered minor injuries and received medical attention. The Springdale Police assured the public that this incident appeared to be isolated, and there was no imminent danger to the general population. As of Thursday morning, no charges were expected to be filed.
