Jaevel Boulding Death: Suspect in wife’s murder, identified as man, killed in shootout with police outside Subway.

Jaevel Boulding Death – The individual who was shot and killed by law enforcement outside a sandwich shop on the North Side, following suspicions of being involved in his wife’s murder, has been positively identified as Jaevel Boulding, aged 33. The fatal incident occurred at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday outside a Subway establishment located near Vance Jackson Road close to Interstate 10.

Law enforcement officials stated that the shooting transpired subsequent to officers being dispatched for a welfare check on Southwest Loop 410. Family members had expressed concerns after being unable to contact the 33-year-old woman. Following the issuance of a warrant, investigators found the deceased woman inside the residence, having suffered a gunshot wound. Authorities believe her spouse to be the perpetrator.

Upon further investigation, it was revealed that the husband had taken the woman’s vehicle and driven to a nearby Subway restaurant to have a meal. Police were able to track the stolen car using Onstar and subsequently waited in the parking lot for the suspect to exit the establishment.

Upon exiting the sandwich shop, the man reportedly opened fire on the officers, prompting them to return fire, leading to a shootout.

The suspect sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was declared deceased at the scene.

San Antonio Police Chief William McManus expressed, “It’s always concerning. There’s always a risk involved when you have someone shooting multiple rounds and you have to return fire to protect yourself and or a third party.”

No additional injuries were reported, and the investigation remains ongoing.
