Taneshia Bridges Obituary – An investigation into a homicide is currently underway in Troup County following a shooting incident that resulted in the death of Taneshia Bridges, a 41-year-old woman. On April 27, at approximately 2:11 a.m., deputies from the Troup County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a residence on Teaver Road after receiving reports of a gunshot victim who was unresponsive. Upon arrival, deputies discovered an adult female with a gunshot wound.
Immediate life-saving measures, including CPR, were initiated by the deputies until the arrival of fire and ambulance personnel a few minutes later. The victim, identified as Taneshia Bridges, was then transported to Wellstar West Georgia Emergency Department. Tragically, she succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.
The Criminal Investigations Division was promptly notified and began processing the crime scene. Authorities have determined that multiple shell casings were found outside the residence, indicating that the victim, who was inside the home, was struck by gunfire originating from outside. It is worth noting that during the time of the shooting, another adult female and a young child were also present inside the residence.
