Miguel A. Maya Obituary – Military officials have identified the U.S. Marine who tragically lost his life during routine military operations at Camp Pendleton on Tuesday night. In a statement released on Friday morning, the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing named Cpl. Miguel A. Maya as the Marine who passed away earlier this week.
Cpl. Maya, a native of Texas, served as a U/AH-1 Aircraft Avionics Technician and was assigned to Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron (HMLAT) 303, Marine Aircraft Group 39, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing. Lt. Col. Jason Caster, the commanding officer of HMLAT-303, expressed his deepest condolences to Cpl. Maya’s loved ones during this challenging time.
He emphasized that their primary focus is providing support to the family of their fallen Marine and ensuring the well-being of their Marines and their families.
