Mark P. Frey Obituary – A fatal accident occurred during a police pursuit in Brewster, resulting in the death of a local resident. According to the New York State Police, the incident took place on Tuesday at approximately 3:40 p.m.
Troopers had initially attempted to pull over a 2019 Nissan Altima on Route 100 in Somers due to its failure to maintain its lane. However, the driver failed to comply with the trooper’s instructions and a chase ensued. Unfortunately, the vehicle veered off the road for reasons yet to be determined and collided with a tree.
The driver, identified as Mark P. Frey, a 66-year-old Brewster resident, was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
