SEN. MANCHIN – Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., has sparked speculation about a potential presidential run by accepting an invitation to speak at the “Politics & Eggs” event in New Hampshire. The event, typically reserved for major party presidential candidates, will take place on Jan. 12 and is organized by the New England Council and the New Hampshire Institute of Politics.
Manchin will use this platform to promote his new organization, Americans Together, which aims to mobilize moderate Americans and combat political extremism. While the event has traditionally featured presidential candidates, it has expanded to include discussions on important national issues.
Manchin’s potential candidacy has raised concerns among Democrats, who fear it could divide votes and impact President Joe Biden’s chances of securing a second term. Despite the speculation, Manchin has remained noncommittal about his political future.
