Ronald Diggs Obituary – Authorities in Ohio are currently conducting a search for a 19-year-old individual who is accused of committing murder at a Waffle House in Atlanta earlier this week. According to a report from WSYX, officers from the Columbus Police Department were dispatched to the scene at approximately 2:30 a.m. on Monday after receiving reports of a shooting outside a Waffle House near Ohio State University.
Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered 38-year-old Ronald Diggs with a gunshot wound to the chest. Emergency medical personnel promptly transported Diggs to a nearby hospital, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries.
Investigators have determined that the incident initially began as a physical altercation inside the restaurant before spilling out onto the street. The suspect, identified as 19-year-old Jaquan Curry, is currently wanted on a charge of murder and is currently evading capture.
Who exactly was Ronald Diggs?
Ronald Diggs had traveled to Columbus to showcase his talents at a performance in the city’s arts district. According to his friend Robbie Rickard, Diggs had no involvement in the altercation that ultimately led to his untimely demise.
“It was simply a matter of being in the wrong place at the wrong time,” Rickard stated during an interview with WBNS. Rickard further explained that Diggs, who was known by his stage name King Ry’Yon Shugahbear Tajoure, was highly regarded for his exceptional dancing skills, which had earned him numerous accolades at LGBTQ+ pageants.
“He was here solely to entertain and serve as a judge for the event. Little did we know that it would be his final performance,” Rickard shared with WBNS.
