Marvin Thomas Death – New information has been provided by the police following the fatal shooting of a man during a confrontation at a business in southwest Oklahoma City. On Monday evening, authorities received reports of a disturbance at a business located near the intersection of Southwest 29th Street and South Kentucky Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 55-year-old man who had been shot. The individual has been identified as Marvin Thomas by the Oklahoma City Police Department. According to investigators, it was revealed that Thomas instigated the altercation upon entering the business. He then brandished a knife and attempted to attack someone, prompting the individual to defend themselves by shooting and ultimately killing Thomas. A news release from the Oklahoma City Police Department suggests that the shooting was an act of self-defense. The case will now be reviewed by the Oklahoma County District Attorney’s Office, who will determine whether charges should be filed.
