Javeone Aamir Suggs Obituary: Akron man, 19, killed in Kenmore shooting identified

Javeone Aamir Suggs Obituary, Death – Javeone Aamir Suggs, the 19-year-old Akron man who was shot and killed in Kenmore on Thursday afternoon, has been identified by the Summit County Medical Examiner. The Akron police have charged another man, who was injured in the shooting, with murder and aggravated robbery.

Detectives have been working overnight to uncover the events leading up to the gunfire, and it appears that it started with an attempted robbery during a marijuana sale. According to the police, a 30-year-old man was selling marijuana to Jovante Dowdell, 22, and Suggs. However, Dowdell and Suggs attempted to rob the dealer, resulting in the dealer shooting both men.

While Dowdell only suffered a graze to his leg, Suggs was hit in the chest and tragically lost his life. The police have described the 30-year-old shooter as a victim in this case, as he hasn’t been charged in the shooting. However, he does face a charge for trafficking marijuana, which is a felony.

If anyone has any information regarding this incident, they are urged to contact the Akron Police Department Detective Bureau or provide anonymous information to The Summit County Crimestoppers. Additionally, tips can be texted to 274637 by texting TIPSCO.
