Diamond Kennedy Death – A shooting incident in Newberry resulted in the tragic death of a young woman on Sunday morning, as confirmed by Newberry County Coroner Laura Kneece. According to Kneece, officers from the Newberry Police Department (NPD) promptly responded to a shooting at the Nance Forest Complex at approximately 2:48 a.m. The incident was reported to be a result of a family dispute.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered two individuals. The first person, identified as Diamond Kennedy, 24, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Newberry County Coroner’s Office. The second individual was found with severe bleeding from the face and mouth and was immediately transported to Newberry County Memorial Hospital.
