Craig Kizer Obituary: 65-Year-Old North Barrington Man Killed After Being Hit By Car Identified

Craig Kizer Obituary – The deceased individual discovered along Route 22 on Tuesday night has been identified as Craig Kizer, a 65-year-old man from North Barrington. A recent autopsy has determined that Kizer passed away due to blunt force injuries sustained during the incident.

The collision occurred when Kizer was struck by a 2013 Ford Explorer driven by a 47-year-old man from Geneva while walking on the south shoulder of the road near Rainbow Road around 7 p.m. Kizer was reportedly wearing dark-colored clothing at the time of the accident.

Upon arrival at the scene, deputies from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office found Kizer deceased along the ditch line. The driver of the Ford Explorer was unharmed and promptly contacted emergency services following the collision. The Lake County Sheriff’s Office Technical Crash Investigations Unit is currently investigating the cause of the crash.
