Charlie Mills Death – A teacher at a college preparatory school in Illinois was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver while crossing a street in southwest Chicago. The incident occurred at 11:45 p.m. on Sunday, March 31, resulting in the death of the 56-year-old man identified as Charlie Mills.
Despite suffering severe injuries, the driver of a red Toyota Camry, who was reportedly speeding, fled the scene. As of Tuesday, April 2, the driver remains at large. Mills, a teacher at Jones College Prep, was pronounced dead at the scene. Chicago Public Schools expressed condolences for the loss of Mills, highlighting his contributions to the school’s diverse learner team and performing arts productions.
The graduating class of 2008 remembered Mills for his kindness and support. Former students, including Astarte Howell, emphasized Mills’ positive impact on the school community and mourned his tragic death.
